Identity and Access Management

Leveraging the success of SafeNet Authentication Service (SAS) and its award-winning, cloud-based authentication service, Thales is now offering SafeNet Trusted Access (STA), an access management service that combines multi-factor authentication, cloud single sign-on, and the ability to centrally manage access to numerous cloud and web apps with granular access policies.

SafeNet Trusted Access allows organizations to manage access to numerous cloud and web apps by:

  • Validating identities
  • Enforcing access policies
  • Applying appropriate access controls with Smart Single Sign-On

SafeNet Trusted Access offers flexible access management through a simple-to-use policy engine that gives customers real-time control over the ability to enforce policies at the individual user, group, or application level. The policy engine supports a broad range of authentication methods - including those already deployed - allowing organizations to leverage their current investments and use them to secure cloud and web-based services .

Context-based authentication enhances user convenience by assessing contextual parameters to determine whether a login attempt is secure. When a login attempt is considered secure, the user is granted immediate access. When it is not considered secure, an additional authentication factor may be required. Contextual parameters may include such details such as a user’s network, location, and device. 

Smart Single Sign-On (SSO) lets users log in to all their cloud applications with a single identity, eliminating password fatigue, frustration, password resets, and downtime. SafeNet Trusted Access processes a user’s login requests and ensures that SSO is applied intelligently.  This is based on previous authentications in the same SSO session and the specific policy requirements applicable to each access attempt. In this way, users may authenticate just once in order to access all their cloud applications or provide additional authentication as configured in the policy. 

A continuously expanding library of integration templates enables the easiest connectivity to leading cloud apps, such as, Salesforce, AWS and Office 365. Use the integration templates already built in and defined for the apps you use  or use the general-purpose, custom integration template. SAML based applications and authentication agents are supported for OWA.
